Motivation

It was most commonly thought that MONEY is the greatest motivator. Well, it is a form of motivation, because we work and get paid (with money)... but most employees now wanted to have a good balance to be motivated and to be more productive in the office.

Motivation... let's see what else made our list:

MONEY - no need to further explain this one. but incentive and bonuses makes employees happy and excited. fuelled with energy & all that jazz...

CAREER ADVANCEMENT - we have noticed the different way "Millennials" entered the workplace. They are ambitious, talented, passionate and feels that there are a lot of things for improvement that they can infuse and contribute to the company. This should be respected and actually honed into something positive for the company. Not only for new employees but as well as the old timers. A career plan should always be there whenever an employee looks for opportunity. Better to have one ready than have an employee seek outside.

TRAININGS AND SEMINARS - so that one can continuously improve aside from personal learning and experiences, trainings and seminars every now and then can be a good tool to motivate your employee. definitely not to all but at least to those who are open to learning new things and willing to improve.

A GOOD LEADERSHIP TEAM - well, the leader is not just a motivation but also an inspiration. One may be a Manager but not a Leader. A team / group of employees / department should always have a good head. This defines the way each teamplayer moves and outputs are correlated as to how the leader directs the team. The motivation brought by the leader is critical and should always be checked by the higher management.

COMPANY CULTURE - a healthy work - life balance offered by one company really matters to the employees. This makes them more empowered and more productive. There are more and more companies who offers work from home status considering the traffic, allowances saving, office cost savings etc., but not compromising the expected output. HR is the key to keeping a good balance in the workplace, HR should be able to keep the negative vibes at the minimum. Toxic culture usually causes good employees to breakdown and feel tired eventually leading to looking for opportunities outside.

There might be other tools that can be used as motivation, non the less, this M word is so important so Leaders should always check and see if the employees are motivated.
